Pay Attention!  What follows is a short message from Mac.....

Next year - I have decided to become much more modern.  Sleek.  Efficient.  Go-Getting.  Yes!  I am that man!

I will be using lots of acronyms (LOA) to make communication clearer (LOATMCC).  See - things are making more sense already (MMSA).

Instead of saying - "I would like a pint of Quadhop please" - wouldn't it be much better for everyone,  if I just said.........

"IWLAPOQP" ?

Wouldn't it?

Of course as the evening wore on the efficiency of this approach would increase.  Amazingly - "I Would like a pint of Quadhop" - has the same acronym as "I would like another pint of Quadhop".

Naturally with the introduction of a new and radical form of communication there will be teething problems.  The acronym for "I would like two pints of Quadhop" is exactly the same as that for "I would like three pints of Quadhop".  (IWLTPOQ). 

This is easily resolved.

Approach the Bar - look the Barman in the eye - Say - "IWLTPOQ" - and indicate the number of pints by holding up two fingers.  (If you have not previously met the Barman, it is considered good manners to wave your fingers at him vigorously.)

I freely admit - sometimes this can lead to confusion - In which case resort to "OWSWDN?" or "OK - Where shall we drink now?"
