Home Up

Happy Christmas from Mac!!

It's my year!  Well.  Not entirely.  There must be some other stuff.  I can't have spent the whole year on a golf course or leaning on a bar?  (Or can I?)

1st of January - early in the morning.  Most of the country is still abed.
En route to the first round of Golf of the year.

And Winterfest  We're getting to the end of January.
February.  South Wilts.  Forward tee on the ninth.  And its cold.

February 22nd.  The New Inn and The Haunch.  I think I was also in the Winchester Gate earlier the same night.

This is what happens when you turn up to help your elderly Mother go to bed, and she tells you it is too early.

Jamie and I in The Village.  This is the commodious part of the establishment.  Near the Gents loos, whose door is always open.  Call it "The Lounge Bar".

West Wilts at Warminster at the end of March.  It can be dark in Warminster...

Test Valley in April.  I seem to remember being dangerously close to a Railway line.
Wayne and I with a nice shiny table at Barton on Sea in April.

And Wayne's action picture of my practice swing on the tee in front of the Island Green 18th.
April in The Silver Plough at Pitton.  I'm sure it wasn't always a Badger Pub?  Early evening on a CAMRA Minibus trip.

The same day .  Its getting late.    We've made it to the The Black Horse at West Tytherley.

Another day with the same Jumper - sometimes the only way to get a pint of Sixpenny is to organise a Society at Rushmore!
Back on the Bus but this time in May - The Lamb at Nomansland.  I've got a pint somewhere.

June, Hamptworth.  This table was not shiny.

And Hockley at Winchester.  The first of two visits this year.

Dummer.  With a ball.  June with El Lobo.
Beerex!  In Colour.  I've only been going since....

Well probably since about 1978 or '79.  Which means...

JP took the picture on the right.  Thanks John!
July.  My birthday.  The hot summer.  I've made it to The Winchester Gate.  With a very old hat.

Hockley with Chris and Nigel.

And - The Hampshire with El Lobo.

GBBF.  At Olympia.  A rare trip to London - with Jena, David and Derek and lots of very dark beers.

David is handing me a lump of concrete.  It is a piece of UK House.  I shall treasure it.  I am the only former employee of FP to possess a lump of FP concrete.

And another David - at Sherborne.  As the camera slid down the shiny table.
Crane Valley.  An outside shiny table.

Royal Winchester.  (There is a theme here.)

And The Black Horse at Great Durnford.

El Lobo at High Post with Rick.

I think he's just seen my score.

Ogbourne Downs - where it is high and windy.  With Chris and Wayne.  Nigel is there somewhere.

And at Paultons, waiting for one of my companions to emerge from a tree.

Chris took this action picture at Isle of Purbeck.  I am about to hit the ball pretty much straight at the man on the 1st tee.  Fortunately he is about seventy yards too far away for me to get him.

The Penruddocke Arms at Dinton and The Bear at Wilton, where I found Alex.

It was getting late by then.  I may have been getting quite cheerful....

Last Waterboys Outing for 2018.  Ashley Woods - in December with Nigel, Wayne and Chris.

Onwards!  To 2019 and the future.  Whatever it may hold!
